Requirements for the position of Dean of the Graduate School:

The Dean of the Higher School must have a higher (or postgraduate) education, a candidate and/or doctor of science or doctor of philosophy (PhD) or doctor of science in the relevant field, at least 5 years of experience in managerial positions in educational organizations or in the specialty, a certificate (certificate) of completion of advanced training courses in the field of management within the last 3 years.

Requirements for the position of Head of Educational Programs

The head of the educational institution must have a higher (or postgraduate) education, a candidate’s degree and/or a doctor of science or a doctor of philosophy (PhD) or a doctor of science in the relevant field, or a master’s degree, at least 3 years of work experience in scientific and pedagogical activity, a certificate (certificate) of completion of advanced training courses in the field of management within the last 3 years.

Requirements for the position of professor

A professor must have higher (or postgraduate) education, a doctorate degree and/or academic titles awarded by an authorized body in the field of education and science.

As an exception, a person who has the following may apply for the position of professor:

• an academic degree of candidate of science, doctor of philosophy (PhD) or doctor of the profile (if there is a certificate to the main diploma on mastering the educational program of doctoral studies in the pedagogical profile) or academic titles awarded by an authorized body in the field of education and science;
• scientific and pedagogical experience of at least 2 years in the position of associate professor at this university;

special merits (development and publication in authorship/co-authorship of a monograph, textbooks/study guides recommended by the Regional Research Institute of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, at least 5 publications in journals recommended by the Committee on Research and Development of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, at least 2 in the Scopus, Web of Science databases, participation in the development of international/national scientific projects, in some cases in the implementation of program-targeted, grant projects)

Requirements for the position of Associate Professor

An associate professor must have a higher (or postgraduate) education, a candidate of science degree and/or a doctor of philosophy (PhD) and/or a doctorate in the field (if there is a certificate to the main diploma on mastering the educational program of a doctorate in pedagogical specialization) and at least 1 year of work experience in scientific and pedagogical activity.

As an exception, a person may apply for the position of associate professor if he/she has:

• education corresponding to the position of senior lecturer;
• work experience of at least 3 years in the position of senior lecturer at this university;
• if there are special merits (publications in journals recommended by the Committee on Educational, Scientific and Technical Sciences of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan at least 4, publication of a textbook/study guide in the authorship/co-authorship of at least 3 and/or publications in the Scopus, Web of Science databases, availability of security documents (patents, author’s certificates, etc.).

As an exception, a person with at least 5 years of work experience in the field of activity as a top manager and/or their deputies (top management) of an organization or holding high military ranks may apply for the position of associate professor.

Requirements for the position of Senior Lecturer

A senior lecturer must have a higher (or postgraduate) education, at least 3 years of experience in scientific, pedagogical and/or teaching activities, or 3 years of practical work experience in the field of activity.

Requirements for the position of teacher

The teacher must have higher (or postgraduate) education.

Persons wishing to participate in the competition submit an application (in any form) addressed to the president of the university. The following documents must be attached to the application:

• a copy of the identity card;
• a personal record sheet or a copy of a document confirming the employee’s work activity;
• copies of diplomas of higher and/or postgraduate education, academic and scientific degrees, a document on the academic title and originals for verification;
• copies of certificates of retraining and advanced training (if any) for the last 3 years and originals for verification;
• a list of published works and inventions (if any).

Submission of an incomplete set of documents is grounds for refusal in any form to accept the application.

The competition participant has the right to submit additional information regarding his education, professional level (list of scientific publications, recommendations from the management of the previous place of work), as well as documents confirming work experience and qualifications.

The deadline for submitting documents for the competition is no later than 15 calendar days from the date of publication of the announcement.

The above documents must be submitted within the specified time frame to the HR Department of the Baishev University Institution at the following address: Aktobe, Bratyev Zhubanovykh Street, 302A.

The date and time of the meeting of the competition committee will be communicated to the competition participants additionally.
