The main objective of the Institute’s activities is to develop and implement a policy for advanced training and continuous additional education, which provides for the unification and coordination of the activities of the Higher Schools of Natural Sciences, Humanities, and Social Sciences and the University’s departments to expand the network and improve the quality of additional educational services for interested parties.
The Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel implements additional professional education programs in the following areas:
- Advanced training;
- Professional retraining of personnel;
- Short-term courses;
- Long-term courses;
- Internships for teachers of technical and vocational education organizations
- Trainings;
- Seminars;
- Language courses.
Students of the IPCiPK have the opportunity to get acquainted with the latest achievements of scientists conducting fundamental and applied research in the relevant fields of science.
The IPCiPK has the opportunity to develop custom advanced training programs for a specific area of the company’s activity.
Training conditions
Training is conducted at the Baishev University School of Natural Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, research laboratories, according to flexible curricula that take into account the needs of universities and the interests of students.
Advanced training courses are implemented in a combined form (full-time with the use of distance learning).
The duration of the course is:
- short-term courses – from 36 to 108 academic hours;
- long-term courses – more than 108 academic hours;
- internship for teachers of technical and vocational education organizations – at least 36 academic hours.
Upon completion of training, students are issued a document (certificate) on advanced training.
To be enrolled, students must submit the following documents:
application;
- student’s ID (copy)
- agreement in 2 copies;
- a receipt for payment for tuition or a copy of the payment order.

Informal Education
Informal adult education is a type of education carried out by organizations that provide educational services without regard to the place, timing and form of training, and is accompanied by the issuance of a document confirming the results of training.
The goal of informal education is to create conditions for the implementation of educational services and the diverse needs of a person in advanced training and the acquisition of new knowledge and technologies, providing opportunities for young, adults and the elderly to master personal and professional competencies.
The objectives of informal education at Baishev University:
- transition from the established concept of “final education” to the concept of “continuous education throughout life”;
- provision of educational services to adults in order to meet their cognitive needs;
- implementation of educational programs for additional education of adults, educational programs for postgraduate education;
- improvement of the qualifications of citizens to maintain, expand, deepen and improve previously acquired professional knowledge, skills and abilities;
- formation of convenient, flexible, personalized areas of education.
The following documents are submitted for training in non-formal education programs:
- statement
- copy of identity document.
The Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel of the University issues a document confirming the training results within three days after completion of training.
Pedagogical retraining courses
One of the new areas of activity of the Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel of Baishev University is conducting pedagogical retraining courses.
According to the Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 17, 2020 No. 110, the Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel conducts pedagogical retraining courses for persons with professional education who do not have a pedagogical education, who are starting their professional activities as a teacher in the relevant profile for the first time.
The content of the educational program of the courses consists of psychological and pedagogical disciplines (30 academic credits) and pedagogical practice (10 credits). The list, content and scope of disciplines of the educational program are determined in accordance with the Professional Standard of a Teacher, qualification requirements for a teacher.
The completion of the educational program of pedagogical retraining is completed by final certification.
The learning outcomes in retraining courses must correspond to the work functions (training, educational, methodological, research and social-communicative) and the levels of the professional standard of the teacher.
Enrollment in pedagogical retraining courses is carried out on the basis of:
- applications addressed to the head of the university in any form;
- a copy of the identity document;
- a copy of the education document;
- six photographs measuring 3×4;
- a medical certificate of form 086-U
Cooperation
To conduct advanced training courses, the Institute attracts moderators from Kazakhstan, near and far abroad, faculty of Baishev University, representatives of regional chambers of entrepreneurs, and employers’ associations.
