International Relations Department


The mission of the Department of International Relations is to establish and develop effective mutually beneficial partnerships with leading educational and scientific institutions of the world, in order to increase the international prestige of the university as a highly professional educational, scientific, and innovative institution of Kazakhstan.

Main tasks:

  • Preparation of bilateral and multilateral cooperation programs in the field of science, education and culture;
  • Implementation of measures to expand the export of educational services;
  • Ensuring interaction between the university’s structural divisions in the field of international cooperation.

The Department of International Relations of Baishev University was established in 2013 to provide organizational and informational-methodological support for the international activities of the university, develop cooperation with international organizations, educational institutions; improve the educational process, enhance the quality of training based on the creative use of international experience; organize and coordinate the movement of students or research teachers for a certain academic period to another higher education institution (within the country or abroad) for training or research, including in a distance format.

Study Abroad

The organization of education abroad at Baishev University is aimed at integrating students with international academic programs and opportunities that allow them to gain knowledge and develop skills in order to become successful and productive members of the global community. In partnership with the university college, faculties, faculty and staff, we strive to raise awareness of the field of education abroad, promote intercultural contact, and advocate for the diversity of participants and programs.

Every year, more and more students of Baishev University are sent to study and undergo language and scientific internships in foreign educational and scientific institutions. The University annually organizes foreign business trips for faculty and administrative staff of the University to participate in international conferences, meetings at the invitation of foreign universities and organizations in the CIS countries, Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia. Since 2020, teachers, staff and students have been taking part in various international conferences and meetings in an online format.

International support

The Department of International Relations is ready to support and assist foreign citizens of our University in every possible way in terms of:

  • consulting and support during migration procedures within the framework of the current laws and regulations of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • providing support during the adaptation period, organizing special programs and events aimed at integrating into the academic and social environment of the university, as well as familiarization with the culture of the country as a whole;
  • working as a link between foreign citizens of the university and government bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • facilitating the internationalization of Baishev University, providing an opportunity for further development of international cooperation and intercultural interactions.

Applicants for participation in exchange programs must meet the following requirements:

  • Have completed the first semester of a bachelor’s degree at the time of application
  • Have an appropriate level of English proficiency, or be proficient in the language of instruction at the host partner university
  • Have a GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Be an active participant in student life
