On February 7, 2025, the Department of Socio-Cultural Development of Baishevsky University held a poetic event on the theme “Akyn Mukagali”.
The event was attended by specially invited guests -Nurmukhamedov Berik Begimovich and Kartanbai Olzhas Talgatovich, who briefly told about the poet’s life and work, read their poems to students. The students also took an active part, expressively read the poems of the poet Mukagali and asked questions to the guests.
During the event, Sh. M. Bukharbayev, Vice-rector for Socio-Cultural Development, and S. T. Zhalmaganbetova, Director of the Department of Socio-Cultural Development, spoke, who noted the poet’s work and expressed their gratitude to the guests
This year marks the 94th anniversary of Mukagali Makatayev’s birth. He is a Kazakh lyric poet, a Muzbalak. Despite the fact that he did not receive due recognition at the time, he left a high, indelible legacy for subsequent generations.
