On March 11, 2025, a conference was held at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Astana) as part of the project “Designing and Implementing Responsive Interventions to Sustain the Career Progression of Current and Future Teachers of English Language in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan: The Case Studies of PRESETT at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University Kazakhstan, Baishev University under the AELTLCA program of the British Council.
The conference was attended by the Director of the British Council in Kazakhstan, Mr. Robert Taylor, and representatives of the British Council, the project leader, Dr. Ph.D. Olanrewaju Olaoye, as well as Dr. Ph.D. Alison Raby (Lincoln University, Lincoln, UK), Dr. Ph.D. Rokhatoy Abidova, HoD, Dr. Ph.D. Zokhid Jumaniyozov, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Philology at Urgench State University (Urgench, Uzbekistan), Professor, Doctor of Philological Sciences Bibigul Kusanova, Dr. Ph.D., HoD Zhanargul Beisembayeva (Eurasian National University, Astana, Kazakhstan), faculty members, and students.
The Baishev University delegation was led by Rector Olga Lygina, and the delegation also included the Director of the International Relations Department, Zhanat Yerniyazova, and English lecture Yelena Pilipenko.
