The main goal of the Institute’s activities is the development and implementation of a policy for advanced training and continuous additional education, which provides for the unification and coordination of the activities of the Higher School of Natural Sciences, Humanities, Socio-Technical Sciences and university departments to expand the network and improve the quality of additional educational services for interested parties.
The Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining implements programs of additional professional education in the following areas:

- Professional retraining of personnel;
- Short-term courses;
- Long courses;
- Internships for teachers of technical and vocational education organizations
- Trainings;
- Seminars;
- Language classes.
PKiP students have the opportunity to get acquainted with the latest achievements of scientists conducting fundamental and applied research in relevant branches of science.IPKiPK has the opportunity to develop custom-made training programs for a specific area of the company’s activities.Conditions of educationTraining is carried out on the basis of the Higher School of Natural Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences of Baishev University, scientific laboratories according to flexible curricula with maximum consideration of the needs of universities and the interests of students.Advanced training courses are implemented in a combined form (full-time with the use of distance learning).Course duration is:• short-term courses – from 36 to 108 academic hours;• long courses – more than 108 academic hours;• internship for teachers of technical and vocational education organizations – at least 36 academic hours.Upon completion of training, students are issued a document (certificate, certificate) of advanced training.copies;• receipt of payment for training or a copy of the payment order.

Non-formal educationNon-formal adult education is a type of education provided by organizations that provide educational services provided without taking into account the place, timing and form of training, and is accompanied by the issuance of a document confirming the learning results.The purpose of non-formal education is to create conditions for the implementation of educational services and diverse human needs for advanced training and mastering new knowledge and technologies, providing opportunities for young, adults and older people to master personal and professional competencies.
Objectives of non-formal education at Baishev University:
- transition from the established concept of “final education” to the concept of “continuous education throughout life”;
- provision of educational services to adults in order to meet their cognitive needs;
- implementation of educational programs for additional education of adults, educational programs for postgraduate education;
- improving the qualifications of citizens to maintain, expand, deepen and improve previously acquired professional knowledge, skills and abilities;
- formation of convenient, flexible, personalized areas of education.
For training in educational programs of non-formal education, the following documents are submitted:
- statement
- a copy of an identity document.
After completing the training, the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining of Personnel of the University issues a document confirming the results of the training within three days.
Pedagogical retraining courses
One of the new areas of activity of the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining of Personnel at Baishev University is conducting pedagogical retraining courses.
According to the Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 17, 2020 No. 110 IPKiPK, pedagogical retraining courses are conducted for persons with professional education who do not have a pedagogical education, who are starting the professional activity of a teacher in the relevant profile for the first time.
The content of the educational program of the courses consists of psychological and pedagogical disciplines (30 academic credits) and teaching practice (10 credits). The list, content and scope of disciplines in the educational program are determined in accordance with the Professional Standard of a Teacher and the qualification requirements for a teacher.
Mastering the educational program of pedagogical retraining ends with a final certification.
The results of training in retraining courses must correspond to the labor functions (teaching, educational, methodological, research and social-communicative) and the levels of the professional standard of the teacher.
Enrollment in pedagogical retraining courses is carried out on the basis of:
- applications addressed to the head of the university in any form;
- a copy of an identity document;
- a copy of the education document;
- six photographs measuring 3×4;
- medical certificate 086-U
Silver University
At Baishev University, in order to implement educational programs for the elderly within the framework of the “Silver University” model, courses are conducted in the following areas on the basis of the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining of Personnel:
Language courses for communication and travel (English, Russian, Kazakh)
- Fundamentals of legal literacy
- Wellness program
- Financial literacy
- Veterinary medicine (treatment and care of animals)
- Kazakh language (for beginners)
- Legal literacy
The courses will be useful to all people in adulthood who are planning an active and interesting life. All courses are provided free of charge.
Beginning: November, 2023 (as the group is recruited)
Duration: two weeks
Course format: Lectures + practical exercises
Language of instruction: Kazakh/Russian
Upon completion of training, each student of the program will receive a certificate
